Hi,
It’s been about two months since I rebooted my Substack, and it’s been an eventful time. Everything has grown: subscriber count (up 55%), views (up 148%). Thank you for engaging with my work.
So far I have published two short science fiction stories (Cannon Fodder and Rule 12), and two short horror stories (Tardy and Devil Inside).
It’s been a lot of fun to write these stories, and I hope they are as much fun to read as well.
After some reflection, I decided to change the cadence of posting. Initially I had planned to publish one short story every month. But I realized that that might be too long of a gap, especially for readers. So I decided to shorten that to once every week.
I’ve also been mulling over serialized fiction. I posed a question in Notes and saw that there are indeed many authors on Substack writing serialized fiction. So I might consider a science fiction saga in that format as well. Perhaps. I’m still determining the best delivery format, and the way that Substack is structured, it doesn’t (currently) lend itself to a very intuitive format for serialized fiction.
Glad to have you all on board this wonderful journey with me. Coming up, there’s more horror, drama, and science fiction. I have a number of stories exploring how artificial intelligence could potentially shape the world around us, some in ways that are benign, others not so much.
Stay tuned, and as always, feel free to drop me a note anytime.
